Lauren Mangano, Owner/Director
Lauren, a Massachusetts native, is an established performer, choreographer and dance instructor throughout New England. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance with a graduate focus in Pedagogy, Composition, and Creative Movement. Lauren’s background includes Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary Performance, Repertory Performance, Rhythmic Exploration, and a concentration in Vagonova and Horton techniques studying from some of the best in the Industry including Missy Lay Zimmer, Andrew Hubbard, Kristen Denehey and Dennis Caspary. Lauren has performed for the Dean Dance Company, First Night Boston as well as for Dance Extravaganza as a featured dancer under the choreography A.C. Ciulla and Maurice Hines. Lauren has also danced with the notable Isaac Hayes at the Boston World Trade Center and at Foxwoods Hotel and Casino as a Celtics Dancer Finalist. She is a featured dancer in the inspirational DVD Dance Life Teachers Conference 2009.
As a teacher, her choreography consistently has been recognized on a regional and national level. Lauren is an agent for the national convention Planet Dance and has modeled for Lord and Taylor, The Crowning Touch, and was featured as a cover model for Worcester Quarterly Magazine. Lauren is a model for the newest clothing line to hit the dance world, EDGY DANCE WEAR. She has been involved in the Miss America Pageant System for several years and has held many titles competing in the Miss Massachusetts Pageant, currently she is the Executive director of The Miss Worcester County, Miss Shrewsbury Pageant.
Lauren is guest artist with Exhale Dance Tribe in Cincinnati OH, which has been named the one of the top 25 to watch in 2009 by Dance Spirit Magazine. She is a Judge and Master Teacher for Star Systems/Broadway Experience, StarQuest and Nexstar National Dance Competitions. She has taught at the 2009 GBDTA Convention and founded the reputable Elite Dance Convention in 2008. Recently she has worked with the New England Patriot Cheerleaders as an assistant guest choreographer. Lauren’s passion is teaching and looks forward to working with you and your dancer! |

Alaina Mangano, Assistant Director
Alaina Mangano is a natural performer with the professional training that makes her an invaluable asset to the studio. She has studied in NYC, Boston and Ohio, as well as many other schools nationwide Alaina has been involved in the Miss America Pageant System for several years competing in the Miss Massachusetts Pageant. She has danced with the Albany Berkshire ballets; The Nutcracker, Star Systems; Success America tour and as a member of the 2008 Bay State All Stars dance team. Miss Mangano currently travels and works with several National Dance Competitions including Star Systems National Talent Competition and Turn It Up Dance Challenge. She was named one of Dance Spirit Magazines “Future Stars.” Alaina’s most recent accomplishments have been a 2008 NBA Celtics Dancer Finalist and is currently finishing up her tour with Stiletto Entertainment, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line dancing in Los Angeles, Hawaii and Alaska. |

Carly Ouimette, Dance Instructor
Carly, a Worcester Massachusetts native, is an established performer, choreographer and dance instructor. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance with a minor in Psychology from Dean College. Carly’s background includes Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip hop, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre. Carly has performed in numerous regional and National competitions all over the world receiving many titles. Her credit includes Footloose, Guys and Dolls, Fame, and have also performed for the Dean Dance Company, the Dance Extravaganza as a featured dancer under Maurice Hines, and was a featured dancer under Tony Williams in The Urban Nutcracker. Carly was the recipient of the Arthur Pierce Prize in 2007, was named in the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and was awarded the Joan Phelps Scholarship for Dance.
Carly has been a teacher and choreographer for the past 7 years and currently is a judge for Nexstar Dance Competitions. She enjoys the true art of creation through movement and working with aspiring dancers. Carly is ecstatic to be a part of staff and looks forward to working with you and your dancers!! |

Quinn Morton, Dance Instructor
Quinn Morton is a native of Massachusetts. A graduate of Dean College , she received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Dance as well as an Associate Degree in Athletic Training in 2005. She has performed with various dance companies traveling throughout Massachusetts area including Impulse Dance Company, Cambridge MA, and She- figured Dance Company in Martha’s Vineyard. Over the past three years she has lived in Los Angeles, CA and has worked with the reputable Winifred R. Harris’ Between Lines Dance Company touring all over the United States and with Marshall Dance Company as a soloist in their production of Darfur, which traveled along the west coast. Miss Morton’s extensive performance experience with modern companies has brought her back to the East coast where she now travels as a master teacher and choreographer throughout New England. Quinn joins the Elite Convention staff and is looking forward to working at Elite Academy of Dance! |

Caitlyn Coates, Dance Instructor
Caitlyn has been dancing for the past sixteen years and is now perusing her love for dance further at Dean College where she is working toward her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Dance. Her training has included Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Lyrical dance. Her most recent credits include Cabaret, Showcase, Dance Team show, and Break the Silence Hip Hop Team. Caitie was recently crowned Miss Shrewsbury 2009 which makes her part of the reputable Miss Massachusetts America organization where she dontaes her time volunteering and making appearances throughout the state. In 2009 she was awarded the Trustee’s Scholarship from Dean College. Cailtyn is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and talents with your dancer! |

Erika Hayden, Dance Instructor
Erika has come to the Elite Academy of Dance with extensive knowledge in all forms of dance. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Dance from Dean College, where she was a member of the Dean Dance Company for 4 years. Erika brings high-energy and creativity to all dance classes. She continues her own dance eduaction by taking intensive classes in both NYC and the Boston area. She hopes to motivate and inspire all of her students. |

Marissa Voller, Dance Instructor
Marissa Voller comes to Elite Academy of Dance from Southeastern Massachusetts. She received her training from Carol Miller Dance Studio, Hope Specht Dance Center, Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Marissa’s extensive training includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Acrobatics. In her dance career she has held both regional and national titles for DMA and ADA competitions Chapter 18 and 5. She has performed in Boston, New York City, Pittsburg, New Jersey, Florida and Rhode Island and was a Boston Celitcs half time performer. In 2006 Marissa held the title of Miss Taunton (America) and was the Preliminary Talent Winner. She has assisted at the GBDTA convention and has brought her talents into studios around Massachusetts teaching for 9 years. Marissa joins the Elite Faculty this year teaching Acrobatics, Hip Hop and Competition numbers. |

Angela Nevalsky, Dance Instructor
Angela Nevalsky brings her knowledge and talents to Elite Academy of Dance with over 20 of Dance and Gymnastics training. Angela received her training throughout Massachusetts studying with Joanne Giguere, Joan Sherry and Shirely Benjamin. She received her education from Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts majoring in Ballet. Angela has taught Ballet Tap and Acro throughout the state and is looking forward to joining the Elite staff for a second season teaching Pre-school, Kinder Movement, Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap and Acro. |
