Recital Information

Recital information and ticket pricing will be available as soon as possible. It is required that any student participating in Recital must attend dress rehearsal as well. *Tuition and costumes payments must be paid in full for your child to participate in recital.

Snow Cancellations
Cancellations due to weather will be announced on the studio answering machine and on our website. Make- Up lessons will be posted as necessary. We do not always cancel classes when school does.

Classes
A minimum number of students are required to hold a class.

Placement and Levels of Students
Students are placed in appropriate classes according to age and experience and skill level. Dance classes are not always the same as grade levels in school. There is an end of the year evaluation taken and issued for the benefit of each student; this is based on the expertise of our faculty. The dancers best interest is always in mind, a student may not always move to the next level or stay at the same level each year.

Observation Weeks
At Elite Academy of Dance it is very important that you, the parent is informed of how your child is progressing. A very exciting program we hold twice throughout the year is our observation week where you are invited into class to watch your child dance. Observation weeks are done in November and April; specific dates will be posted and sent home.

Attendance
It is the responsibility of you and your child to try to attend every class. If you will be late or will be missing class for a legitimate reason, please call the studio ahead of time to notify us. If there is no answer please leave a message, or inform the instructor ahead of time. There are no refunds given for missed classes. Please pick your child up promptly after their class is dismissed.

Rules
Elite Academy of Dance is not liable for personal injury, loss or damage of any personal property. Every student is responsible to inform their teacher and front desk of any injury or limitations they may have that may prevent them from participating fully in class. Our student’s health and safety is our priority.

Students must arrive 15 minutes prior to class. If a student is 15 minutes late or more, he or she will be asked to sit and watch class. This rule is enforced for the safety of your child.

Dress code must be implemented in every class.

There is NO SMOKING in or around the dance studio

No Cell Phones. All cell phones must be turned off during class.

No Gum, candy and food allowed during class or on the dance floor.

Elite Academy of Dance is entitled to use videography and photography throughout the year. The use of these may be used for advertising and other events. A professional Photographer and Videographer will be provided for purchase of recital pictures and videos. By purchasing or using them you adhere to their copyright rules and regulations of the companies. The Elite Academy of Dance is not responsible for any misuse that may go against these regulations.

Class Schedules, Faculty, Observation week and Performance dates are subject to change. Notice will always be posted in the studio.

Competition Eligibility
Students who are invited to participate in competitions throughout the year must be enrolled in at least four classes. One of these classes must be ballet. As a student on the competition team you and your guardian will be required to sign a competition team contract and adhere to those and all of the studio policy rules.

By participating in competitions you are required to also make competition entry fees, convention fees, competition costume payments on time.

*A $300 costume deposit is due upon registration. Balances and credits for competition costumes will also be billed or issued accordingly.

*A Flat $25 Competition/ Convention registration fee for the year will be issued before the first event.

Fund-Raising Projects and ideas are welcomed. All money raised will be distributed to participating students to help with competition expenses.

Community Appearances, Performances and other Activities
Elite Academy of Dance feel it is important to be involved throughout the community and embrace other opportunities that may come up. Invitations and information about these events will be presented to students throughout the year.

Tuition and Registration
A $25.00 enrollment fee is due upon registration. ($50.00 maximum per family)

• Tuition is divided into four payments throughout the dance year.

• The first tuition payment is due upon registration as well.

• A $10.00 LATE FEE will be applied to accounts that are 10 days past due.

• A fee of $33.00 will be charged for returned checks, and in-sufficient funds.

• No Refunds, Transfers or Credits of payments are given due to dropped or missed lessons.

• If tuition is past due, the student will not be allowed to participate in class. If there is an outstanding balance at recital time, the dancer may not be allowed to participate in recital.

• Withdrawal from the studio must be submitted in writing and signed by guardian.

Costumes (All Recital Costume Payments are Due by NOVEMBER 15th)
A $50 deposit per class or a $200 deposit for four or more costumes per child is due upon registration. Costumes will be distributed to each student as long as tuition and costume payments are paid in full. Costumes are tentatively distributed in the month of April.

• No underwear is allowed. Tights and Leotards are to be worn without undergarments
• NO Jewelry, Stud earring are acceptable
• No Socks are to be worn with shoes
• Hair must be neatly and securely pulled back in a bun for all classes.
A neatly secured ponytail is allowed for Intermediate and Advanced levels in Jazz, Modern and Tap classes ONLY. A bun MUST be worn for ballet
• Pointe classes are by invitation only; we require a professional fitting for all Pointe shoes.
